Day 01. ARRIVAL CHENNAI.
Arrival in Chennai. Upon arrival meet and transfer to Hotel.
Overnight at Chennai.
Day 02. IN CHENNAI.
After breakfast we commence a half-day City Tour of Chennai
the 4th largest India Metropolis. It is the gateway to
South India. Visit the National Gallery, Fort St. George, St Mary’s
Church, the oldest Anglican Church in India, the Mylapore Temple
dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Marina, a ten-mile long beach.
Afternoon is to relax or visit the shops.

Day 03. CHENNAI – KANCHIPURAM – MAHABALIPURAM.
After breakfast leave to Kancheepuram- known as the golden city of a
thousand temples. Here you will visit the looms that weave the
world famous silk sarees. It is the waters of this city that
give the raw silk yarn its rich lustrous sheen. We continue our
drive to MAHABALIPURAM- the city of seven pagodas, a sculpture
carved out of solid rock.

Day 04. MAHABALIPURAM – PONDICHERRY.
After breakfast we depart for Pondicherry- a French colony till 1954
and is still a living monument of French culture in India. Here you
will witness some of the 350 temples built by the Chola Kings
between the 10th and 12th centuries.

Day 05. PONDICHERRY – TANJORE.
After breakfast proceed to Tanjore enroute visit the temples at
Ganga Kondacholapuram and Kumbakonam.

Day 06. TANJORE – TIRUCHIRAPALLI.
After breakfast drive to Tiruchirapalli- popularly known as Trichy,
rising abruptly from the plains to a height of 83 meters is rock
Fort, the famous landmark of Trichy. Four hundred and thirty four
steps hewn into the rock side and interspersed with shrines and
landings lead to an ancient temple dedicated to Ganesh, the
auspicious elephant headed God. Visit the bustling and festive
community of bazaars of silk sellers.

Day 07. TIRUCHIRAPALLI – MADURAI.
After breakfast we drive to Madurai- a city over 2000 years
old. It is famous for the Meenakshi Temple highlighted by its
Hall of a Thousand Pillars. Another is the Trumalai Nayak Palace- a
carved dome, standing without the support of girder or rafter- an
architectural feat.

Day 08. IN MADURAI.
After breakfast we continue our visits to these medieval Hindu
wonders of architecture. In the afternoon you can explore the
markets, bazaars and silk outlets. After dinner you will visit
the Meenakshi Temple to see the closing ceremony.

Day 09. MADURAI – PERIYAR.
After breakfast we drive to PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY a
tropical jungle having a beautiful lake- is the home of wild
elephants, Indian guar, monkeys, spotted deer, wild boar and many,
many varieties of birdlife. In the afternoon we visit this 777
square kilometre sanctuary by motorboat. The sanctuary is 1828
meters above sea level in the hills of the Western Ghats.

Day 10. PERIYAR – ALLEPPEY.
After breakfast we drive to Alleppy- called the “Venice of the East”
on account of its extensive canal network interspersing with bridges
and canals. It is famous for its water carnivals. Today we will take
to stay in a houseboat and your boat will cruise through the
backwaters of KERALA. These luxury houseboats cruise into a
different world with boat vendors paddling the canal selling
everything from silks, vegetables to kerosene all this amounst
hundreds of quacking duck. This cruise will show you the village
activities, the beautiful old temples and churches and the old
fashioned Kerala.

Day 11. ALLEPPEY – COCHIN.
After breakfast disembark from your houseboat and we proceed to
Cochin- called the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”.

Day 12. IN COCHIN.
After breakfast we tour this lagoon studded town, where the red of
the earth contrasts with the green forests to paint a gorgeous
picture indeed. You ill see the remains of the mighty Fort of
Cochin, which houses St. Francis Church, the Dutch Palace and the
Mattanchery Synagogue. In the afternoon cruise on the backwaters of
Cochin, where romance blends perfectly with history. You will visit
all three islands- Vypeen Island, Bolgatty Island and Gundu Island.

Day 13. COCHIN – MUMBAI OUTBOUND.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to
BOMBAY. On arrival met and transferred to Visit the Mumbai
City Tour until your transfer to the International Airport for your
flight back to Home
